MATTER OF CONVENIENCE
Marriage Does Not Bother Churchill’s Nephew Press Association—Copyright. London, March 3. Admitting that he had received oable messages stating that he was liable to imprisonment if he married the Hon. Jessica Freeman-Mitford, Mr. Esmond Romilly today cabled the News-Chronicle from Spain saying that having decided to get married the young couple, both of whom were under age, would continue trying to achieve this. “Threats of imprisonment make no difference,” he said. “We both regard marriage mainly as a convenience, and it does not mean the end of the world if we are unable to marry.” Miss Freeman-Mitford, aged 19, is the daughter of Lord Redesdale, and Mr Romilly, aged 18, is a nephew of Mr. Winston Churchill. Both are active opponents of Fascism.
