FIJIAN SOCIETY WEDDING
Chief Weds Princess.
A wedding o£ much importance from a Fijian point of view took place recently at the Jubilee Methodist Church, when Ratu Edward Tulvannavou Cakobau was united in inatrimony to Adi (Princess) Vasemaca Tuiburelevu, daughter of Ratu Illaitia Toroca, of Bau. Both families come from the old royal line of Bau. Ratu Edward has been selected to represent, with Major Joske, the Fiji Defence Force at the Coronation. The people of Bau came in hundredsto present the young couple with the customary mats, tabuas and other presents. Ratu Edward was a cousin to the late Hon. Ratu Popi Cakobau, grands.cn of King Cakobau.
