To-day’s Forecast. SOON IMPROVING. Press Association—Copyright. Wellington, To-day. There has been a rapid fall of pressure to the east, while an intense anti-cyclone, which has been centred fcr some days over Tasmania, has extended eastward across the Tasman Sea. The forecast is for moderate to strong southerly to south-easterly winds, reaching gale force at times in exposed positions; weather cold and changeable with some scattered showers at first, but soon improving; seas rough.
