Press Association—Copyright. Received 10.3 oa.m. London, Feb. 27.
The Bishop of Norwich has prepared a form of prayer and intercession for use throughout the Empire during Coronation week, and it will also be used during the day of prayer to be held in the Queen's Hall on May 11.
The prayer refers to "disciples ot Jesus Christ, of every language under e very sky, who are pleased and proud to acknowledge the sovereignty ot the King-Emperor in whom the people of Britain and the Dominions find fellowship.” It emphasises the four-fold loyalty involved in the Coronation—firstly, to God; secondly, to the King; thirdly, to the country and Empire; and fourthly, to "our best selves as children of God.”
The prayer offers thanks tor the courage and calmness of industry, steadying the nation in time ot shock and strain awith which the King accepted tho heavy, and for the King’s interest in the welfare ot the toilers and all needing protection: tor peace and joy in the King's home and simplicity of his life, his ease and friendly happiness, his comradeship with the young, his habit,, of worship, love of duty, and all the gifts and graces granted him. It adds: "His Majesty represents the supreme, centre of unity as bead of a growing family, every member ot which is summoned to assume bis or her own responsibility for the good of the family and God’s glory.”
