TEST CRICKET.
Election of Selectors Creates Interest.
Press Association—Copyright. Received 11.10 a.m. London, February 26.
The nomination of Messrs. E. R. Holmes and A. W. Richardson as candidates for election as test selectors foreshadows radical changes in the personnel.
There has been strong feeling of late that the selectors were out of touch with modern first-class cricket, lacking practical experience, and that younger blood, including two playing cricketers, should be elected. Messrs. Warner, Perrin, and Higson will stand for re-election, consequently a ballot may be necessary.
