TROTTING LAWS
N.Z. CONFERENCE. RACE INTERVALS. Increase In Fees Paid To Horsemen. Press Association—Copyright. Wellington. Last Night. A special meeting of the New Zealand Trotting Conference was held to-day, when on the motion of the executive committee two important alterations in the rules were made. The first related to the intervals between races, the executive desiring that the rule stipulating a 35 minutes’ interval thould be rescinded. The president, Mr. H. F. The executive’s motion dealing with horsemen’s riding and driving fees was also carried. Rule 245 was deleted and the following substituted:
“In the absence of any special agreement to the • contrary fees playable to horsemen in relation to the nett amount payable to the owner of the winner shall be to the winning horseman in no case less than, £2, if the nett amount does not exceed £2OO
5 per centum thereof, and £2 10s per centum on the excess; to losing horsemen in no case less than £1; if the nett amount exceed £3O but not £150,, £2; if the nett amount, exceed £l5O, £3.”
