LOANS REJECTED.
Wellington Ratepayers Vote “No.” Press Association —Copyright. Wellington, Last Night. With one exception the whole of the six loan proposals involving £*341,500 expenditure placed before the ratepayers by the Wellington City Council v‘ere rejected at to-day's? poll. The only item approved was a loan of £200,000 for alterations and improvements to the sewerage system.
The proposals, which were submitted separately,, were: Sewerage £200,000, aerodrome extension £70,000, street works, drainage and water'v> < orks £28,500, reserves and beaches £20,000, branch libraries £15,000; cemetery extension, £BOOO.
