WARRANT OF FITNESS

Extension of Time Wanted By Motor Union. Press Association —Copyright. Wellington, To-day. The North Island Motor Union decided at Its half-yearly meeting In Wellington yesterday to make representations to the Minister of Transport, Hon. R. Semple, for an extension of time beyond March 31 for the issue of warrants of fitness fob motor vehicles, the date suggested being June 30. The reason advanced was that it was considered impossible for all motor-vehicles to be tested by March 31.

The union decided also to recommend to all automobile associations that they make application for permission to act ns testing authorities only, the actual mechanical work involved making vehicles fit to be confined to the trade.
