Emergency Organisation Being Formed.

An emergency Fire Brigade organisation against air attack with incendiary bombs, was the s.'eject of a statement by the Home Secrefaiy, Sir John Simon, in the, House of Commons. The organisation suggested will involve the accumulation in peace time of largo stocks.’ of emergency fire-fighting appliances. It is estimated that 200,000‘phy-sfca.l-ly fit men will be required to carry out the Government’s plan for the supplementary fire-fighting services. These men will need to devote two or three evenings weekly for three months for training. They will each receive a grant of £3 plus £5 for equipment.
