Mrs M, A. Kiely, mother of Mrs C. Mass:y, of Stratford, died at Auck- | land yesterday. Mrs Kiely’s, hus’band, who predeceased her, was a. former Superintendent of Police at Auckj land. Reference to the death of Mr A. G. Thorne was made at the annual meeting of the Stratford Golf Club last night and sympathy v'as expressed with relatives in their loss. The preI sident, Mr H. Graham, said that Mr I Thorne had not been a member for any considerable period, but he was a man who was esteemed throughout T.ir..nakl as an excellent spoi tsman,
