Wool Prices Maintained At Good Level.

At the wool sales to-day 12,968 bales were offered and -10,770 were cold, 1352 privately. There was a continued good demand for al! the best descriptions of fleece and skirtings, for which values.' at times showed a little improvement Prices for average wools were fully maintained as the result of a wider demand from Yorkshire and moderate inquiry from Japan. Good lines of crosibreds sold readily. Greasy Merino made 27id. The average price last week was £2l 15s 4d a bale, or 18.2 d per lb.
