TO-DAY’S OVERSEAS NEWS King’s Second Win with Marconi. Press Association—Copyright. (Received 2 p.m,) London, February 22. The racehorse Marconi gave the King his second win by beating a field of 14 in the Coventry Handicap Steeplechase at the Birmingham races. It was a popular victory, the crowd cheering as Mjarconii tpok *Vhe Saad* in the straight and won by four lengths. The King had' his first win on tjhe turf when this horse. Marconi, won the Smethwick Handicap Steeplechase at Birmingham on January 12, beating the Grand National favourite. Marconi, who has now raced in the colours of three Kings, George V., Edward VII., and George VI., was on that occasion well to the rear a mifle from Ihome but then came through dashingly amid loud cheering.

The Cambria, the latest of the Imperial Airways flying-boats, made a noteworthy round-Britain non-stop flight from Southampton. It covered 1350 miles in 522 minutes, averaging 155 miles per hour, and had sufficient petrol left for a further four hours' flying.

Criticising British films, Mr O’Reilly said that the best British films were made in America.
