Miss White spent the week-end with friends in New Plymouth.

Leydon and Iremonger left on Saturday for a motor tour of the Auckland and North Auckland districts. They will visit , friends en route. * * * Mrs. J. von Sturmer (Palmerston } North) is at present staying at Miss Leydon’s place, Toko, during Miss Leydon’s holiday in the North. * * * Mrs E. T. Burrough. who has been • spending a holiday with her parents. Mr and Mrs W. F. Clemow, Brecon Road, left by the express this morning on her return to Picton. * * * Mrs W. Farquharson, Hamlet Street, ; gave an afternoon party on Friday. She received her guests in a very becoming frock of printed linen, autumn shades. Those present were Mrs Harvey (Waverley), Mrs N. H. Thorpe, the Misses 8., Z. and O. Masters, M. Malone, A. and C. Uniacke, and N. Thorpe.
