There wlas hard fighting in the various sectors in the neighbourhod of M Irid throughout Saturday. Gen erl J-liaja declared: ‘We are .not only attacking but also forcing the insurgents to fight where it suits us best. The enemy formerly had the advantage of mobility, which we have neutraised. Our columns in South Jarama and Lamaranosa are advancing slowly but effectively.”
