RETURN OF DIETING.
FOOD CHARTS DEVISED.
London women are again talking a great deal about dieting, says an overseas correspondent. The subject conies up at nearly every luncheon party in Mayfair, and It is amusing to hear foreign dishes and English country food being blamed In turn for increase in weight. Fortunately the majority of women are not going in for the starvation diets which created such havoc a few years ago, nor arc they trying-to reduce in their own pel way. A dozen women, scarcely known to each other, were discussing the subject at lun-h, and it transpired that every, one of them had gone to their doctors before beginning the thilinlng-down process. Mayfair doctors seem to have gone very thoroughly into the subject, have devised a I'oou chart, and suggest quantities of fruit, lean meat in moderation, ho bread or cake, and very little sugar. They make a special point of the fruit.
