As was remarked by the present town clerk, Mr. G. C. When he left in 1933 to take up the position of town clerk at Upper Hutt, his place was taken by Mr. Grace, and Mr. Wilmshurst joined the staff as junior.

When Mr. Skoglund left last year to take up the position of No. 2 Transport Licensing Authority, Mr. Grace became acting town clerk and the confirmation of his appointment and that of Mr. Wilmshurst as first assistant, was made during last month.

Other men trained under Mr. Skoglund have been equally successful graduating to other spheres of business. Mr. S- E.
