HUSBAND AND WIFE BOTH DOCTORS.

New Zealander’s Return. To give the lie to the proverb that “two of a trade can never agree,” a doctor whose wife is also a doctor arrived at Wellington on Monday by the Wanganella- from Sydney. He was Professor F. W. G. White, on, his way to Christchurch to join the staff of Canterbury University College. ' Professor White is a doctor of j science and Mrs White a graduate in j medicine. Profpssor White is a New Ztealander. He was educated at Wellington College and at Victoria University College, where he took the degree ol master of science. He obtained a post-graduate scholarship at the University of Cambridge, and went up to St. John’s College.. He studied ' under Lord Rutherford, and at the Cavendish Laboratory, and, after obtaining his doctorate of physics, was on the staff of King’s’ College, London, for five years. He has returned to take the chair of physics at Canterbury University College. Mrs White graduated M.B. at the University of London, having studied at the Royal Free Hospital .of Lon- j don. She specialised in bacteriology | and in particular in research ill I puerperal fever.
