EASTERN CRICKET.

Rovers Beat Croydon Road. In the Eastfern District competition match. Rovers and Croydon Road, played on Victoria Park at the weekend, the former won fry 12 runs in a one-innings game, the scores' beig 88 to 76. The home team avenged Its defeat by the visitors in the previous match played at Croydon Road, when they lost by four runs. Rovers batted first, and double-fig-ure ecores were: W. Tocker (15), R. Cuff (27), and A. Aldridge (34), but of the other batsmen four registered “ducks.” F. Adlam (3 for 13), and W. Alexander (5 for 18) bowled w'ell. For Croydon Road, F. Adlam (28). and K. Webb (18 not out) were the only ones to make double figures. W. Foley (3 for 15) was most successful with the ball. Detailed scores were as follows:
