Presentation From Fellow-

Members.

During an interval at the practice in the band room last night opportunity was taken to farewell Mr N. C. Handley, who is leaving to reside at Wanganui, and to make a presentation from members of the Stratford Citizens’ Pand. In the absence of the chairman of the committee, Mr. A. E. Pollock, tno presentation was made by Mr. P. S. Finlayson, member of the band, and president of the Taranaki Brass and Pipe Bands Union. He expressed the regret of members at the departure of Mr. Handley, and referred to his. qualities as a player and a a bandsman. Mr. A. J. Kelly (conductor) and Mr P. Coe, also spoke of Mr. Handley’s service to the band and expressed good vpishes for his future-
