Blenheim Band.

A member of the Sira .ford citizens band, Mr. W. Elliot. l*»ft by the express this morning to take part in the forthcoming Dominion band conteat at Nelson He will gc by ‘plane from Wellington to Blenheim and Vi'iil play for the Blenheim baud under his old tutor, Mr. H. McCaskill, who was formerly conductor of the Stratford band. Mr. Elliot has been solo cornetist with tii'e Stratfiord bhnd for some years and has previously competed at Dominion contests.
