WOMEN’S TOPICS.

Social and Personal. Mrs H. Dickinson and her two daughters have returned from Oakura beach. Miss A. Uniacke is visiting her uncle, Col. A. Dillon Carberry, in Wellington. Mrs W. S. Clark left by the express this morning on a holiday visit to Nelson. Mrs. S. Pitt left for Auckland on Monday to spend a week or so with friends. • • • Mr.. Mrs and Miss Marcia Allen, Broadway North, are home again after a delightful toui- by car of the North Island. • • • Mrs. Rutherfurd, Wanganui, is at present the guest of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. E. Rutherfurd, Pembroke Road. • • • Mr and Mrs H. H. Wilson, who have been visiting Mr H. Wilson’s sister, Miss E. Wilson, left with their little daughter on Wednesday for their home in Hamilton. • • - Mrs L. Riera, who for the past few weeks has been undergoing treatment in Rotorua, is now visiting friends in Auckland. Mrs. A. Moon, Miranda Street, is at present staying with friends in Hawera to attend the croquet tournament being held there. Little Miss Gillian Wilson, who has been visiting her aunt, Miss Wilson, bad a birthday party on Tuesday. She invited some of her small Stratford friends to come and help her with her birthday cake, which had three gay candles on it. Her little guests were the Misses Anne and Judith Rutherfurd, Velma Eason, Alison Gordon; Masters John and Alen Stephens and Arthur Young. Some grown-ups also arrived to see the fun were Mcsdames H. Good, Rutherfurd (Wanganui), E. Rutherfurd, Stephens, Hussey (Australia), F. P. Uniacke, and E. H. Young. The little hostess was wearing a dear little pale jade green silk smocked, frock.
