TOMB EXCAVATED. FIRST DYNASTY. Body Found In Tomb Dating 3200 B.C. Press Association—Copyright. Cairo, Feb. 9. Still another link with the world's earliest, history was unearthed at. Sakkara by Mr. Walter Emery, a British archaeologist, who excavated a tomb containing the only body of a first dynasty noble yet found. The body was that of Sabu a provincial governor under King Azeb, the fifth ruler of the first dynasty. The tomb, dating approximately 3200 B.C:, had been plundered by ancient robbers, but the body was fotind at the bottom of the butial pit. Nearby was a broken schist va’se sculptured from a solid block of slate, probably the first known example of the work of the Old Kingdom, Excavators sifted the sand for a week in search for piebes of the vase. It has now been restored and is exhibited in the Caori Museum. A large collection of stone vessels was also found. Six boxes containing wine food and sustenance for Sabu’s spirit were grouped around the body.
