A multitude of people in New Zealand are seeking relief frem the burden of mortgage debt, on farms and on urban properties l . This was disclosed to-day by the Attorney-General the Hon H. G. R. Mason, who said in an interview that the number of applications under 1 the provisions of the Mortgagors and Lessees l Rehabitation Act of last year for the adjustment of mortgage obligations on rural and urban properties was 33,793 when the period for the making of application ended on January 31.
