WOOL AND HIDES SALE.
At the monthly sale conducted by | the New Zealand Loan and Mercan-I tile Agency Co., Ltd., at Stratford | yesterday, 30 lots of wool of several tons weight, several hundred sheep-' skins. 37 lots of hides, and three lots] of tallow were offered. Buyers from | woollen mills and tanneries at Christ-; church, Wellington, Auckland and Ha--wera were present. In less than, half! an hour 99 lots were disposed of and j about £lOOO changed hands.
