London, February 8. “The select committee to consider the King’s civil list will discuss the question of transferring the Duchy of Cornwall revenues to the Treasury, and in return a Government payment of a similar but fixed annual charge to the Duke of Windsor,” says the Morning Post. “It will not cause surprise if the King signifies his willingness to surrender control of the re venues, which are about £119,000 a year. They have been the birthright of the Heir-Apparent since 1336.
