BIG WOOL CHEQUE

Auckland Farmers Paid Out Yesterday. Press Association —Copyright. Auckland, To-day. ! Yesterday was the day for the seti tlement of accounts in connection with Auckland’s second wool sale of the present season and cheques l were posted by the various firms. The exact amount represented will not Be known until final details have been I supplied to the secretary, but it is likely that the total figures will be fairly close to £600,000. When it is remembered that the receipts for the corresponding sale last year were £.324,081, and for 1935 only £168,096., it will be realised what a handsome lift is given to Auckland farmers as a result of keen competition at the January fixture.
