WATER TANKS EMPTYING. A number ot residents beyond the borough boundary are preparing for a dry spell of weather by conserving their supply of tank water. A particularly busy time was experienced on the railways yesterday. Three special trains, from Opunake. Wanganui and Hawera, went to Ntw Plymouth. A special train which reached New Plymouth bn Saturday morning from Wellington carried 240 passengers and that from Auckland had 170. These returned yesterday.
