RECORD SURPLUS.
British Post Office Returns For the Year.
Press Association —Copyright. Received 12.30 p.m. , London, February 5. The Post Office accounts for the year ending March 31, 1936, reveal a record surplus of £12,539,000. The introduction of sixpenny telegrams has resulted in a marked increase in business, but it is insufficient to cover the costs.
