ROUGH ATLANTIC SEAS

SHIPPING LATE. S.S. AQUITANIA As Severe As Any In Recent Years. (British Official Wireless.) Received 1.30 p.m. Rugby, February 4. The Rt. Hon. Mr. Walter Runciman, who is returning from a short visit to the United States on board the Aquitania ,is expected- to arrive in London to-morrow. The liner has encountered exceptionally rough seas in mid-Atlantic, which, according to masters of vessels arriving at English ports, have been as severe as has been experienced for many years past. The Aquitania is a day late in consequence of the storm.

The foremast and part of the wireless apparatus of the Norwegian steamer Tilthorn, which has arrived in the Thames from ancouver, were carried away in the Atlantic storms. Hex- boats and gear were damaged, and part of her deck cargo of timber was washed overboard.
