{Mr. IR,. A. Wiaitjson has Informed the Royal •'Society of a discovery of three new electrified atmospheric regions lbet*ween{ five ’ and 40 miles above the earth. This' explains why television transmission has reached greater distances than w'ere expected., namely 50 instead of 25 miles'. , It has been described as one of the most important discoveries of recent years.
