HORTICULTURAL SHOW. At a meeting of the Stratford ’Horticultural Society last night it was decided to hold the summer show on February 19. Judges and stewards were appointed and complete arrangements were made to ensure the success of the show. The president, Dr. Deris Gordon was in the chair. HEARD IN THE MART. ding opened at 1/- and the auctioneer enticed another 1/- from among tiie bystanders. “Going! Going!, it’s yours at two bob,” said the auctioneer without wasting any time, “and I’ll bet you ‘two bob that it doesn’t go,‘ ” he added.
