At the Flint circuit court to-day Judge Gadola granted an injunction ordering the strkers. out of the two General Motors Corporation plants within 24 hours and restraining
picketing. The sheriff read the injunction to the strikers in the two Fisher plants. They listened in silence and made no demonstration. The leaders said they had not decided whether to obey. It is believed they are waiting ordere from Mr. J. L. Lewis, president of the American Federation of Labour, w*h*o left Washington en route for Detroit to confer with the strike leaders. ■A thousand additional troops arrived to-day bringing the total to 3300. New units, including light artillery and cavalry, placed a cordon around the two blocks in which the plants are situated, and the area was cleared of all pickets and spectators.. The strikers in both plants telegraphed to Mr. Murphy to-night that they intended to defy the court order. “We have decided to stay in the plants,” they said. “We are in no delusions about the secrifices the decision will entail. We fully expect that if a violent effort is made to oust us many of ufj will be killed.”
