DOMINION BREWERIES LTD. Shares At New High Level. Auckland, February 3. A new high level was established by Dominion Brewery shares on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day, business passing at 43/-, compared with 40/- prior to Christmas and 18/9 a year ago. The company announced to-day that share transfer books would be closed for a short period next week, which may foreshadow the issue of further capital. An announcement by the directors is expected shortly. In August last the company made an issue of 40,000 £1 shares at a premium of 2/6, and in December paid its first interim dividend at the rate of 8 per cent, per annum, against 64 per cent, for the previous full year.
