“I regret vers* much that there has apparently been a breach of the new stated Robert A. MAllan in pleading guilty by letter to a charge of speeding in the borough of Stratford preferred against him in the Stratford Court to-day. Sergeant Anniss said the car was seen by Constable Beale and another man. It was estimated that defendant was travelling in Broadway at 40 or 50 miles an houf. The time’Was 11.55 a.m. Defendant was’ fined £1 (costs 10s). Negligent Drivings ' TJSurie Duncan, of Cardiff, who drove a motor car on Opttnalre Rond in a negligent manner on December 24 was fined £3 (costs 12s). For failing to keep to the left he was convicted and discharged. Sergeant Anniss said defendant collided with another car when on his wrong side. He said he was dazzled by the lights of the other car. Mr R. R. Tyrer said defendaJt'hbd been fairly heavily punished, having lost his car through the accident. He had suffered heavy loss and there was a possibility of further claim. Railway Crossing Mishap. Arthur White, who drove a motor car over the Seyton Street railway crossing on December 4 without stopping and ascertaining that the line was clear, "wrote pleading guilty.
