CANINE’S LAPSE.

Sampling the Contents of the Storeroom. In the exact sense of the word “Bob” could not be described as a pup of aristocratic lineage but when he wags his tail or gambols around, he is, one that dog lovers must take notice of. It is not so very long ago since he was little more than a stray, kicked about from pillar to post, and the value placed upon him was the modest sum of 2/6. But now money would not buy him. He has at last found a home and a young master who thinks that “Bob” is just as handsome as the most regal looking Borzois. Just recently, however, during his master’s absence he strayed from the path of rectitude. The open door of a storeroom and a strange aroma led him to investigate. In turn he sampled saucers of liquid that was unlike milk, water or anything that he had tasted. When discovered “Boh” was unsteady on his feet and was obviously intoxicated. It was then ♦found that he had been lapping up the contents of saucers’ placed beneath the taps of wine and spirit casks.
