FOR CORONATION.
Interest Displayed By Returned Soldiers.
Press Association—Copyright. Wellington, Last Night. • There has been a remarkable response by returned soldiers to the Governn/ant’s aiinounceni|enSi of. Hv decision to send a military contingent to the coronation, the Minister of Defence, the Hou. F. Jones, said to-day. Judging from the great number of applications which he had received already from returned soldiers for inclusion in the contingent it would appear that many of those who were desirous of being selected
were under the impression that they should make application to the Minister of Defence. “This, however, is not the case,” adde-d Mr Jones. “Returned soldiers are required to make application to the nearest branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, which has supplies of application forms and regulations. Members of the territorial forces, whether returned soldiers or not, are required to make application through their respective units.”.
