SCHOOL BATHS.
Work Of Repair To Be Commenced. After inspecting the school baths the Stratford School Committee decided. last night, to proceed immediately with the work of repair on the lines indicated by-the Public Works engineers, it Is. hoped to have lhe bath ready for use before the Toopening of the school. A tile drain will be placed under the whole length of the south wall, and stone and boulders will -be placed in the bot'on of the trench, <ho committee having decided to fill the trench to a higher level than suggested by the engineers. The cracks on the inside will be plugged with oakum and sealed with bitumen, and a search will be made over the whole area, walls and floor. w:th the object of sealing all cracks and holes. lhe carrying and packing of the stone is to be done by the Stratfhrd Swimming Club. Of six committee members who were present, two were opposed to the policy that was being adopted. The engineers advised that the sugv gested concrete wall in fhe trench was not essential and would merely bfi an unnnroic'if- erpenne by the committee.
