£2000 PROFIT.

Racing Club Shows All-round Increase. Over £2OOO is the estimated profit on the Stratford Racing Club’s New Year meeting. Interim accounts for the meeting, presented at the general committee meeting last night, showed an all-round in-crease in revenue compared with the previous New Year meeting. The most noticeable increases were: Tototalisator £6566, gate takings £3OO, race card sales £7O. Appreciation was expressed for the services rendered by the Railway Department, Post and Telegraph Department, Police, St. John Ambulance, Fire Brigade, and the Stratford Borough Council. The programme committee was instructed to bring down a programme at the end of the week, for the racemeeting to be held on March 20.
