CHILDREN’S “AILMENT.”
Doctor Quickly Reassures Alarmed Mother. During the infantile paralysis epidemic scare, parents, especially those in the larger centres, became greatly alarmed at any sign of sickness among their children. Jn this connection a story with a humorous sequel was told by a visitor to Stratford. Returning from a shopping tour a mother was shocked to see two of her children lying outstretched on the floor and a third child was obviously unwell. Immediately a doctor was called but his diagnosis was a brlaf one. Turning to the alarmed mother he inquired: “Does your husband majte home-bretw “Yes,” she replied, somewhat amazed at the question. He explained the “ailment” of the children and it was then found that while tlileir mother was absent inroads had been made on thMr father’s supply of "home-brew.”
