Beere, a new rider in the club I this year, does not yet seem to be fit, but at Eltham he showed glimpses of form that may worry the scratch men in the near future. A new rider will be turning out for the club next week, who should prove a decided acquisition if there is anything in heredity. This is F. Adlam, w r ho is a younger brother of A..D. Adlam, well known to Taranaki athletes as the holder of provincial records over a long period and winner of Taranaki and West Coast championships. Taking everything into consideration the club has every right to extreme optimism with regard to the prospects of its cyclists at the open ] meeting to be held in Elthani on | February 6.
