A BEAUTY ESSENTIAL

CARE OF FEET. Badly-fitting Shoes Can Ruin Appearance.

We cannot be beautiful unless we are happy, and we all know perfectly well that the acute discomfort of painful feet destroys one’s happiness almost as readily as physical disablement, writes ‘'Kathleen,” in the Sydney Morning Herald. Moreover, painful feet are invariably unsightly, whether they are covered or naked. And we cannot afford such a state of affairs in these days, when nobody excuses unnecessary ugliness.

The fact that we have to wear shoes is really at the root of the trouble. Badly fitting, ill-made shoes of non-porous leather can ruin your whole appearance. The corns and callouses which they invariably cause bring an unhappy expression and wrinkles to your face. They completely destroy the poise which is such a necessary adjunct to the beauty of the modern figure, and to the wearing of lovely, graceful clothes.

If you have contracted corns, bunions, or other foot ailments, then you would be well advised to visit a chiropodist, and not to experiment yourself.
