Visiting New Zealand On Fishing Tour. Many New Zealand soldiers will remember with gratitude Mrs L. H. Hanbury, wife of polonel L., H. Hanbury, C.M.G., V.D., who, throughout the Great War, threw her hottie in Berkshire open to soldiers on leave. Colonel and Mrs Hanbury arrived -at Auckland by the Awatea yesterdoy on a month’s visit to New Zealand. Mrs Hanbury. who conducted her home in conjunction with LMdy

Astor's home, hopes to meet again many of the soldiers she entertained during the war. Colonel Hanbury himself had a distinguished war record. On the outI break of war he raised a Royal Berki shire Battalion, 1100 strong, includI ing 40 officers. He commanded this | battalion in France for a time, but | was then transferred to take command of the 7th Warwicks.’ His son, Major H. H. O. Hanbury, is now second in command of the 15lh-19th King's Royal Hussars. His' only daughter served with distinctiob al a hospital at Boulogne throughout the war. Colonel and Mrs Hanbury intend to tour New Zealand. They will try their hand at big-ganje fishing, do a I little trout fishing, and return Home | In time for the Coronation.
