The London market is quiet for both butter and cheese, according to information supplied by the Primary Products Marketing Department. Last week’s closing prices are quoted as follows: l Butter: New Zealand, salted, 95/- to i 96/- a cwt., compared with 98/- to I 99/- last week, and 91/- to 92/- a year i ago; unsalted, 98/- to 100/-; Ausralia;, 95/- to 98/-; Danish, spot, 110/to 112/-. Cheese: 1 New Zealand, white and coloured, 56/- to 56/6; Canadian, 69/tc 72/-; finest English farmers’, 84/to 88/-; English factory cheese, 62/-.
