CARE OF THE EYES.
Hints Worth Remembering.
Daily care of your eyes is a simple matter and will repay you with improved health as well as looks, states an exchange. If you have a number of fine lines round your eyes, make certain that you do not require glasses. These lines often come from screwing up the eyes—a sign of defective sight, especially if you do it when you are sewing and reading. When you are massaging these lines work against them, that, is, pat your cream in, beginning at the outward corner, or make the figure eight across the nose bridge. When you are powdering, draw the skin out gently round the eyes, and apply the powder. It will then hide the lines, and give the effect of perfect smoothness.
A very thin touch of rouge at the outward corner of the eyes makes the eyes an attractive shape. ■ In the evenings you can make your eyes look large and glamorous by placing a faint line with your eyebrow pencil just underneath the lower lashes.
Oil your eyelashes every night, whether you use mascara or not — olive oil, or vaseline will make them long, darken them, and generally improve their condition. Be careful not to get any of the oil into the eyek. Have two small eyelash brushes in hand for general use, apart from those you use for applications.
