HAWERA ACCIDENT.

Cyclist Knocked Down By Unknown Car Thrown heavily into the gutter of High Street, Hawera, when his bicycle was struck by a car which failed to stop, Reginald Glentworth, aged 18 years, a Tokaora farm labourer, was picked up unconscious on Saturday night. He was taken to the Hawera hospital, where it was reported yesterday that his injuries were not serious. The accident occurred about 11 p.m., when Glentworth was riding down High Street towards Waihi Road. A car, understood to be an. old model tourer, overtook him and apparently touched his handle bars, or front wheel. It is suggested that possibly the motorist may not have been aware of the accident as he did not stop, turning down Camberwell Road.
