PARTITION OF IRELAND

AN ULSTER VIEW SOON FORGOTTEN. No Move Made For a United Ireland. Press Association—Copyright. Received 11.30 a.m. London, Jan. 15. It is understood from Whitehall that the conversations between Mr. Malcolm MacDonald and Mr De Valera were purely informal and that no negotiations were pending. It is denied that a scheme for a United Ireland Was considered. Lord Craigavon, Premier of Northern Ireland, speaking at Belfast, declared, “Ulster’s boundary must remain intact. The partition of Norway and Sweden is only 32 years old and already is forgotten. The partition of Ireland will similarly be forgotten in another sixteen years. “Ulster must remain intact. That is our answer to those who threaten and cajolei.. It is my constant en. deavour to raise Ulster's prestige and make her better known among the Dominions as an important link in the chain of Empire.
