MARIE KEEPS UP THE KAUFMAN TRADITION
Another member of America’s noted eloping family has turned her back on her father’s wealth, braving, threats a* disinheritance, in order to marry th? man she loves.
She is Marie Louise, daughter of Louis G. Kaufman, director of the Empire State Building, New York, and late president of the Chatham-Phoenix Bank.
Marie Louise is now Mrs Carl Tomeila. Carl is out of work. To threats of disinheritance Marie
Louise said: “Papa can keep his millions if he pleases. I have Carl—and he’s going to get a job.” Three other Kaufman children eloped one of the sons marrying a showgirl.
