AMERICAN ’PLANES
Bought By British Airways For Night Flying.

British Airways have bought two German Junker planes fitted with American engines for the service between ’Eondon and Hanover for use at night. The purchases are reported to be th e result of the Air Ministry’s refusal to allow the D.H.86 type to fly at night. The company has already bought American Lockheed Electras for this reason.
