CIGARETTE LIGHTERS.
Popularity Is Now On The Wane. ; <i recent years cigarette lighters i achieved great popularity among I smokers, but it is noticeable that | they are becoming increasingly j fewer. ] In the past six months there were ! few inquiries for lighters and now there was practically no demand for th m, stated a local tobacconist to a "Central Press" reporter. An appreciable increase in the sale of matches had been experienced, and further, it was noticed that fewer people were making use of the free supply of benzine contained in a miniature bowser on the shop counter. Just why many smokers have cast aside their lighters is not very clear as there is no doubt that the use of a lighter was much more economical than buying a box of matches daily.
