Alsation Bit Her Puppy
SHE HIT THE OWNER One afternoon there lived in Tottenham, N., London, a contented puppy. Puppy’s mistress, aged 18, decided to go shopping, and left the front door open. Puppy, left at home on his own, took the opportunity of a walk abroad. Out into the street he ran, and then—for the first time—he saw his next-door neighbour, the large Alsatian. At first the Alsatian eyed Puppy curiously. Curiosity changed to impatience, however, impatience to anger. And then he bit Puppy. At that moment the mistresses of the Alsatian and the Puppy arrived on the scene. There followed angry words and at Hottennam Police Court—Puppy’s pretty mistress was summoned for aspull her hair,” she said, “it was only in saulting the mistress of the Alsatian. She pleaded not guilty. “If I did self-defence.” She was bound over.
